Chapter 29 (Jayfeather's point of view - Final Chapter)
Jayfeather heard his brother exit the medicine den and decided to go see Firestar immediately. It would take a seeing cat long enough to get to the Moonpool, but to a blind one with no other medicine cats to guide him, it would be quite a journey. Jayfeather pushed the herbs back into the cleft and padded out of his den.
The camp was still very busy cleaning up the camp after the birch tree had fallen. Jayfeather had just begun to build up images of what the camp looked like now, but because he had just begun, he still had trouble navigating. Luckily the leader's den came nowhere near the birch.
Jayfeather clawed his way up the rockfall and stood on Highledge for a moment. From here he could feel the wind in his fur and sense the warriors working on moving sticks out of the camp. Snap yourself out of it, mouse-brain! He scolded himself. This isn't what you came for. He entered the den.
"Firestar,"
Firestar was grooming himself - Jayfeather could hear him licking his coat. "What can I do for you, Jayfeather?"
"I need to go to the Moonpool tonight to talk with StarClan. I'd have to leave right away, but Brightheart could be in charge of the medicine den - she's done it before." Jayfeather begged StarClan that he would say yes.
"If you think it is very necessary to do so." Firestar said.
Jayfeather nodded. "It is. I think StarClan has something important to tell me."
Firestar sighed. "If it's so important, why can't they send a dream or wait until the halfmoon. It's only a few sunhighs away. Very well, you may go."
"Thank you." Jayfeather dipped his head to the ThunderClan leader and backed out of the den, careful to turn around before he backed off Highledge.
He could hear the trickle of the Moonpool close by and could feel his paws slipping into the pawprints of the ancient Clans that had lived by the lake so long ago.
Welcome, Jayfeather.
We're glad you came, Jayfeather.
We have to talk with you, Jayfeather.
The many voices of StarClan cats came to him on a light breeze. Jayfeather stepped down to the water and lapped at it. Within moments, he was dreaming.
Green ferns grew far above his head and trees towered into the sky, high as the mountains. "Spottedleaf?" he called into the forest. "Yellowfang? Bluestar?" In the distance, he could hear cats talking and headed toward it. Suddenly from the bushes behind him burst a lithe black and white cat. "Tallstar! Where is everyone?"
Tallstar passed him and bounded into the ferns. "They're at the meeting, Jayfeather! Follow me!"
Jayfeather raced after Tallstar and soon caught up with his tail. He followed the old WindClan leader until they reached a small river that cut through StarClan's hunting grounds.
"Sorry I'm late," Tallstar panted. "But I brought the subject of this meeting with me."
Jayfeather looked around at the StarClan cats: Bluestar, Yellowfang, Tallstar, Spottedleaf, Lionheart, Leopardstar, Mudfur, and four cats he didn't recognize were gathered by the river. Spottedleaf stepped forward.
"Jayfeather, we gathered together because we have to talk to you about the great battle. These four cats are Thunderstar, Windstar, Riverstar, and Shadowstar."
The first leaders of the four Clans!
"As the first leaders of the Clans, they play a very important role in helping keep this battle under control as best as StarClan can. Bluestar?" Spottedleaf stepped back into the cats.
Bluestar came forward. "There is something I have to tell you, Jayfeather, and it may frighten you." she rasped.
"When the battle comes, you Three will stand alone."

Chapter 28 (Lionblaze's point of view by Flametail)
Lionblaze sat around camp gloomily. He saw Jayfeather in his den sorting herbs and waited a while before getting up and slowly padding into the medicine den.
"I had a dream..." he said slowly.
Jayfeather didn't turn around, but stopped sorting and waited for Lionblaze to continue.
"The Dark Forest-" Lionblaze started and paused when Jayfeather's head jolted up and he turned to face Lionblaze.
"Uh-there was an army...and mist. Tigerstar, Breezepelt, and Hawkfrost were leading the attack against the living clans, but we- you, Dovepaw and I- were the only ones against them...I think it means that there will be a great battle that only the Three (that would be us) could win..."
"This is not good...Dovepaw thinks that Ivypaw is a part of the Dark Forest. It just keeps getting worse and worse." Jayfeather said quietly.
Lionblaze sighed, "I know. Do you think you could go to the Moonpool and talk to StarClan about it?"
Jayfeather nodded,"I'll tell Firestar that I will be leaving soon." He went back to sorting herbs.
Lionblaze nodded then turned and left. He went to the fresh-kill pile and looked at it. "I'll eat after I train." He mumbled to himself and went to the training hollow.
He trained for quite a while, using different battle moves to attack a tree and creep up on it. When he was done he went back to the pile and picked up a vole. A pit in his stomach opened when he spotted Ivypaw practicing battle moves with Cherrykit and Molekit: they were the same that Tigerstar had tried to teach him. What will happen when the battle comes?

Chapter 27 (Jayfeather's point of view)
In the dark and gloomy world that was his home, Jayfeather tried to make sense of the tumble of words pouring from Dovepaw's mouth.
"And then I heard him speaking in his sleep-" the apprentice said in a rush as she completed her story. "-he was saying "Kill! Kill! Kill!""
Jayfeather felt his fur stand on end. "StarClan let us hear him for a reason." He said, and desperately tried to oppress the fear that was building in the pit of his belly. "Breezepelt must want to kill us. He was always-" Jayfeather paused. Dovepaw had never been told, but it had to be done. "-angry with us for being born. His father is ours, too."
Waves and waves of uncertain thought drained from Dovepaw as though Jayfeather had opened a pus-filled sore. He felt the waves drowning him in emotion.
"But why would Breezepelt want to kill you just because you've been born?" Dovepaw asked cautiously.
"He hates us." was the simple answer. Jayfeather felt weak. This was a sensitive subject for him to touch on. I have a feeling that Breezepelt is the center of all this. The medicine cat thought. "Do you know anything else?" He changed the subject.
"No." Dovepaw said. "That's all I found out."
Jayfeather sensed she was hiding something. "What are you hiding?" He asked.
Fear was pouring like blood from an open wound from Dovepaw. Jayfeather wrinkled his nose. To him, fear had a bad smell. "I-I think Ivypaw is part of... the Dark Forest."
"She has been acting strangely." Jayfeather said calmly, trying to keep his alarm under control. I should have realized it myself! He scolded himself. Dovepaw shouldn't have had to discover her sister's secret herself! "I know how you feel."
"Really?" Dovepaw's voice cracked with pain.
Jayfeather nodded. "Yes." He sensed that Dovepaw wanted him to further elaborate on the subject, but he didn't want to. When Dovepaw realized that, she said goodbye and left the medicine den. Jayfeather began storing the dried herbs in the cleft of the rock. His mind churned with worry. What are we supposed to do to defeat the Dark Forest? He wondered. What will Breezepelt try to do to us?
And what does the prophecy mean?

Chapter 26 (Dovepaw's point of view)
Jayfeather echoed the name. "Breezepelt?" Dovepaw nodded.
"That's the only possible interpretation. He is your brother, isn't he?" Her tail swished over the ground in fear. What are we supposed to do now? We know more about the cats the Dark Forest is recruiting, but we have to do something about it!
"Half-brother." Jayfeather answered.
Dovepaw shrugged. "Close enough." She suddenly remembered she had been neglecting Ivypaw. "Can you walk in Ivypaw's dreams tonight? I think it's important."
Jayfeather shook his head. "You're forgetting - tonight's the Gathering. Your powers are needed to search for cats that are acting strangely at their camps. Can you try now? Go to WindClan."
"Very well," Dovepaw said. "I'll try." She sensed her way past the guards in ThunderClan and headed directly for WindClan. In the warm spring sunshine, the heather blossomed into lovely blue flowers and Dovepaw spotted two WindClan apprentices scampering about in the grass. She felt a twinge of sadness. I wish I could play as carefree as that. She arrived soon at WindClan's camp and looked for Breezepelt. He was asleep in the warriors' den. She looked through the opening and stared at him, but he was sleeping like any normal warrior would.
Dovepaw let go of her senses and came back to ThunderClan. "He's sleeping like a normal warrior - nothing unusual." She watched the medicine cat pace around the den for a moment before fixing his sharp blue eyes on her.
"Keep checking every few hours," Jayfeather continued. "I requested that you be let off from training today, so you'll have plenty of time to keep an eye on WindClan and the others."
"Okay." Dovepaw left the medicine den and headed for the exit tunnel. She was going out to the lake on this beautiful newleaf day.
Suddenly Dovepaw heard a voice behind her. "Hi, Dovepaw."
It was Ivypaw. Dovepaw froze. There was a strange sound in her voice. Dovepaw turned around.
"Hi, Ivypaw." Dovepaw flicked her tail.
"Can I come with you?" Ivypaw asked. "Please?"
Dovepaw shrugged. "Sure, if you want to. I'm just going down to the lake." She resumed her course for the exit tunnel. "Come on!" Dovepaw raced toward the tunnel, and she heard Ivypaw's paws thrumming on the ground just behind her.
Shooting out the other end of the tunnel, Dovepaw exploded into the forest, spraying leaves everywhere. Ivypaw caught up with her quickly and threatened to overtake her sister, but Dovepaw whisked through the trees faster and reached the lake first.
"Let's climb into the trees," Ivypaw said. "And wait for some cat to come under us. Then we can jump onto them, just like Firestar wants us to do!" Her eyes sparkled mischeviously.
"That sounds like fun!" Dovepaw giggled. "You go up first, and I'll be up in a second."
Ivypaw sprang up the tree's trunk. "Okay." Dovepaw watched her spring up the tree, finally stopping on a high branch.
Dovepaw focused her senses on WindClan and headed toward the camp to check on Breezepelt. He's still sleeping, the dormouse. Dovepaw thought. But I hear something... he's speaking! Dovepaw felt horror fill her mind as she heard his words.
"Kill! Kill! Kill!"
Jayfeather echoed the name. "Breezepelt?" Dovepaw nodded.

Warriors: Omen of the Stars: Night Whispers (my version) Chapter 25
Chapter 25 (Lionblaze's point of view by Flametail)
Lionblaze wondered why Jayfeather had asked for Dovepaw to have the day off.
Jayfeather wouldn't tell him why, he said that he had to discuss it with Dovepaw first.
Dovepaw wasn't even in camp!
Lionblaze felt so left out of the Three. Jayfeather and Dovepaw seemed to be getting so much closer, and Lionblaze seemed to get so much further away. There were times that he got so annoyed by that, that he just wanted to unleash all over his power on Jayfeather, but he knew he could never do that and that he was being foolish.
He wondered through the forest, feeling sorry for himself, when something large dropped out of the trees and landed on his back.
By instinct he unsheathed his claws and flung the attacked off, giving the cat a small cut on its shoulder.
"Oh, sorry Cinderheart!" Lionblaze said, after realizing who it was.
"It's okay, at least we know that you are prepared for a surprise attack," She licked her shoulder, "And I know that I shouldn't try to surprise you, because if I do, I may end up with a worse cut then just this."
"Sorry again!" Lionblaze meowed.
"That's okay Lionblaze, really." Cinderheart smiled.
Lionblaze smiled, then shifted his paw, "So what are you doing out here?"
"Spying on you." Cinderheart shrugged and smiled.
"Ah. Maybe I should spy on you then, see what you do when nobody's watching. Maybe you steal prey." Lionblaze said, jokingly, but accusingly.
"I can't believe you'd even THINK or JOKE that I'd do that!" Cinderheart glared, obviously not liking the joke.
Lionblaze watched her storm off and he sighed, hanging his head he watched a mouse dart in front of him.
He just watched it go, to sad to move.
I've lost my apprentice, my brother, and my best friend. He sighed.
He slumped down and closed his eyes.
In his dream he saw Tigerstar's face, circling around. There was a big evil smile on his face, like he had something big planned, that he was sure wouldn't fail.
He saw Breezepelt and Hawkfrost by Tigerstar's side, leading what looked like an army of Dark Forest cats.
In his dream he looked up at the sky, it was stormy, cloudy, dark, and windy.
Dovepaw and Jayfeather looked like they knew something about what was happening. Something that Lionblaze didn't know.
Lionblaze woke with a start.
What was that! He asked himself.
Lionblaze shook his head, It was just a dream, I mean only Medicine Cats get dreams about things that will be, they get prophecies…But this wasn’t a prophecy…it was just what will happen later. Breezepelt was there…that’s really bad. Should I tell anyone…or keep it to myself. I’d tell Cinderheart but she’s mad at me. I can’t tell Jayfeather or Dovepaw because I’m mad at them…If I told Firestar, he’d tell everyone…but he’s my leader…I need to tell him!
Lionblaze got up and ran back to camp.
“Firestar! I need to talk to you!” Lionblaze found Firestar.
“Yes Lionblaze, what is it?” Firestar asked.
Lionblaze kept his voice down and said, “I had a dream, Tigerstar, Breezepelt, and Hawkfrost were leading an army…it was dark, windy, and stormy…I think the army was going against us…there were no StarClan cat’s, but there were living cats…except I only saw Dovepaw and Jayfeather, and I was there….”
“This is bad. Oh no, this is really bad.” Firestar went into panic mode, “Have you told Jayfeather or Dovepaw yet?”
Lionblaze shifted his paws, “I-I wasn’t going to tell them…”
Firestar looked at him for a while, but said nothing, just turned and went to his den.
Lionblaze looked up at the sky, WHY?! He wailed.

Warriors: Omen of the Stars: Night Whispers (my version) Chapter 24
Chapter 24 (Dovepaw's point of view)
"Hello, Dovepaw." Hollyleaf's voice echoed through the cave. Her long black fur rustled against the rocky floor.
Dovepaw blinked. She wasn't dreaming, as Hollyleaf's figure stayed before her eyes. "Hollyleaf-" What can I say? "You're... alive." The gray apprentice turned to face Rock. "Does Jayfeather know?"
Hollyleaf cut in before Rock could answer. "Are you surprised, Dovepaw? To see me alive?" Dovepaw turned back toward Hollyleaf.
"No."
"Why not?"
"All along I have known you were here, still alive." Dovepaw felt strange - like another cat, not herself - like she wasn't there. Do I become Dove's Wing whenever I step into this cave?
"How?" Hollyleaf's green eyes were curious. "You've only been here twice."
Dovepaw stepped toward the black she-cat. "I have always sensed your presence beneath the ground we walk on, and it was especially strong the first time I came near the entrance to the cave through the rabbit hole." She caught her breath.
Hollyleaf dipped her head to Dovepaw. "Truly you are One of the Three, young Dovepaw. Your wisdom is beyond your moons. Truly you are the One - the One we've all been waiting for."
Dovepaw looked up through the hole in the cave roof, and saw three stars shining brighter than all the rest.
They were the Three.
The next morning, Dovepaw sensed her way around the camp and found that Jayfeather was requesting her off training for the day. She padded out of her den and trotted over to Jayfeather's den.
"I was about to come get you, Dovepaw." Jayfeather's voice from behind startled Dovepaw. "We need to talk in my den. Come on."
Jayfeather padded past Dovepaw and she followed him in.
"What's the matter?" Dovepaw asked. Jayfeather sat down and began to mix herbs. She could sense that he was frightened. Far from the fiery cat of last night.
Jayfeather grunted. "I had a dream last night, after I came back to camp."
Dovepaw shrugged. "That's not too uncommon, for a medicine cat."
Jayfeather turned on her sharply. "Be quiet!" He turned back to mixing herbs.
"What was the dream?"
"I was walking through the forest, and it was a warm greenleaf day. As I walked, I saw several cats from the old Clan home - Yellowfang, Lionheart, Bluestar, Tallstar, and Redtail. They were sitting under a oak tree talking. I stopped walking and looked through the trees to the lake, and over WindClan's hills I suddenly saw a dark storm begin to flow over the Clan territories - they were the darkest clouds I had ever seen. The StarClan cats began to vanish, but before Lionheart disappeared, he whispered, Darkness will come on the wind, and rumble like the storm clouds. Beware, Jayfeather. Beware of an enemy that is like a brother."
Dovepaw felt a giant pit of black open in her stomach. "Breezepelt."
"Hello, Dovepaw." Hollyleaf's voice echoed through the cave. Her long black fur rustled against the rocky floor.

Warriors: Omen of the Stars: Night Whispers (my version) Chapter 23
Chapter 23 (Dovepaw's point of view)
Dovepaw raced alongside Jayfeather, following him deeper and deeper into the woods. "I think we're far enough from the camp now," she said. "I don't even recognize this place." It was dark and spooky, and whispers seemed to be coming from every direction.
"Cast your senses out and see if anyone's about." Jayfeather ordered. "You know how Firestar likes to nighthunt sometimes."
Focusing hard, Dovepaw searched the forest all the way down to the lake. "No. No cat is around but us."
Jayfeather nodded. "Good." He leaned in to her face. "Because what I have to tell you can never be told again, or to anyone. Understand?"
Dovepaw nodded, but realized Jayfeather wouldn't be able to see her. "Yes. I understand."
"I sent Spottedleaf."
"What!" Dovepaw leaped to her paws. "StarClan is StarClan. You can't send them anywhere!"
Jayfeather narrowed his eyes and a fire lit in them. "I have powers you could never begin to understand." The fire dimmed. "I hardly understand them myself."
Dovepaw was curious. "Can't you tell me more about you're powers?" Please! Her tail-tip twitched in anticipation.
"I suppose." Jayfeather sighed heavily. "I can walk in cats' dreams. I can talk to them in dreams, like StarClan can talk in dreams. I can go to StarClan, even when I'm not at the Moonpool. I can sense small things, and my sense of smell and hearing are above average, like you. And I can read their thoughts."
"Amazing." Dovepaw was in awe.
Jayfeather stood. "Let's go back to camp. And remember, don't tell anyone about this."
Dovepaw nodded. "I won't tell." She suddenly thought of her promise to Fallen Leaves. "You go on ahead - I'll catch up later."
"Okay!" Jayfeather sped up and bounded through the forest like a seeing cat.
Suddenly Dovepaw felt that wasn't such a good idea. This part of the forest was giving her the creeps, and her stomach was turning over. It'll be safe in the tunnels. she thought. The entrance should be right around here. She poked around under the bushes until she saw the rabbit hole. Before entering, she cast her senses out, to be sure no one was watching her. Once the coast was clear, Dovepaw slipped into the rabbit hole and found herself standing in the giant cave within a matter of moments.
"You've come back, young Dove's Wing." Fallen Leaves greeted her. "I have not seen you in some time."
Dovepaw shrugged. "Training's kept me pretty busy."
Rock's voice sounded. "There's someone I want you to meet." Dovepaw looked over at his ledge. The hairless creature was standing on the ledge, his gray eyes glowing in the moonlight. "Dove's Wing, meet Hollyleaf."
